Detailed mapping, offline gazetteer search and field inspections. Find the place, inspect, edit and save — even when the network doesn’t come with you.
Prepare your project and download the mapping before you leave. Keep the detail you need on the device, then work against your downloaded records in the field.
01 / FIND
Your map. Your gazetteer. Offline.
Download your mapping and project before heading out. Find addresses and places with the offline gazetteer, then move from the wider area to individual buildings.
02 / INSPECT
Open the record. Make the update.
Review a mapped feature, edit its inspection fields and add a note. The demonstration below shows the actual form interaction.
03 / SAVE
Keep the work on your device.
Save locally while offline. Plan how field changes return to your organisation as part of your configured deployment.

Navigate from the wider area into detailed NativeGB mapping.
Open the existing “Footpath inspection” point record.
Change its status to Checked and add the note “Access clear. Surface in good condition.”
Save and see “Saved on this device”.
After reloading offline and reopening the record, verify that the status and note remain saved.
The film is silent; the steps are labelled on screen. It uses genuine recordings and held screenshots, with zooms and transitions. It does not demonstrate gazetteer search, a new download or synchronisation.
The technology behind TerraForm
A national map. A different footprint.
NativeGB brings national overview and detailed TrueScale basemapping into a format designed for offline use. TerraForm draws the downloaded mapping on your device.
The full Great Britain basemap corpus is approximately 8.18 GB in the documented release. That is mapping data; project records, photos and other datasets require additional space.
Using Dacorum’s official ONS boundary, we built and verified a real NativeGB regional basemap bundle: 33.3 MB, including its manifests. Watch the 28-second explainer.

Great Britain’s measured NativeGB vector corpus is 8.18 GB.
Locate Dacorum in Hertfordshire using the ONS December 2025 council boundary (E07000096).
Select the whole map tiles that intersect that boundary. The TrueScale layer contains 18 tiles on a 5 km grid.
The regional bundle contains 33,296,785 bytes: 33.3 decimal MB including manifests and boundary metadata. Its mapping payload is 33,250,559 bytes.
Talk to StatMap about preparing mapping for your territory.
This is a measured local extraction, not a customer case study or a demonstration of importing the regional bundle into TerraForm. It includes TrueScale, overview vectors and overview rasters. Vector tiles extend beyond the council boundary; rasters are cropped to its bounding box. Gazetteer data, project records, photos and app/browser storage are additional. Other territories will have different sizes.
You probably don’t need all of Great Britain on every device. Start with the area your team works in and the work it needs to complete.
MAPPING & SERVICE
Plan an authority-sized deployment.
Talk to StatMap about preparing and maintaining mapping for your operational territory. Confirm coverage, update arrangements and the measured package size for your deployment.
A national size is a reference point, not an estimate for an individual authority.
FIELD HARDWARE
iOS and Android. Including lower-cost Android.
TerraForm is a mobile-first web app designed for field use. Include your existing iOS and Android devices — and lower-cost Android options — in the deployment discussion.
Check storage, installation and performance on the actual devices your team will use.
GAZETTEER & SEARCH
Find the place. Without a connection.
Search addresses and places with the offline gazetteer. Go from a location search to detailed mapping and the field records you need, without relying on a mobile signal.
Discuss gazetteer coverage for your operational territory with StatMap.
